講演要旨

Evolution is the main drive for innovation in nature, and it could also be used to create robust and flexible computational systems. This is the aim of the field of Evolutionary Computation. However, recent work on digital Evolution focuses too much on the evolution of artificial creatures, without considering the relation between these creatures and their environment. In this seminar, I will talk about my recent research activities on Evolutionary Computation, Virtual Worlds, and how we can mix these two topics to create interesting and useful computation systems.
